Mindfulness is about directing your attention in a purposeful manner. In this opening session, Samantha will talk about what mindfulness and yoga are (and are not) and how they can produce emotional regulation, adaptability, compassion, calm, and resilience in you and in your students .  Mindfulness and yoga are great starting points or enhancement of social emotional learning. She has taught these principles and strategies to children (and teachers) at all grade levels.
